Chairperson / CEO
Wyndi Tagi is a Director of WE Accounting. She is the entrepreneur, innovator and driver behind the accounting business.
Her passion is helping people which is clearly shown in the principles of the WE Accounting firm and in the community work she does.
The concept of ‘connection’ came from a Leadership NZ group project Wyndi was involved in, where she researched and discovered the need for better connected communities. Taking the project further, the opportunity to start a charitable trust which addressed this issue was something Wyndi was passionate about.
Although Wyndi was already doing work in the community, starting Be the Connection has opened more doors and given the opportunity to help more people. She believes that the work of Be The Connection will create opportunities to help people beyond business development and on a larger scale.
Wyndi is a first dan black belt in karate, has represented NZ twice in age group cycling as well as made other representative teams in both netball and cricket. She also has six children with Eli, helps coach her sons U6 Rugby team and is her children’s number one supporter!
Eli Tagi CA/CPA is a qualified Chartered Accountant and Certified Practicing Accountant, with 15 years’ experience. He is a Director of WE Accounting.
Eli was born in Samoa and like many other Samoan families residing in NZ, his parents made the move to NZ to create a better life for their children. Raised in South Auckland, Eli knows what living tough is like.
His passion is helping Pacific and Maori to achieve all they can in life. One way he does this is through talking at schools to young budding accountants and entrepreneurs to show them what is possible. He also does work with a number of Pacific Churches, helping them with their financial capabilities.
He likes helping people personally and professionally and hopes to be able to help on a larger scale through the work of Be The Connection.
Eli, with Wyndi has 5 sons and a daughter. Now retired from Rugby, he coaches his youngest son in the Ponsonby Ponies Under 6 Rugby team. He enjoys all NZ sports, likes to go camping with his family, travelling abroad, the occasional game of golf and supporting his sons in all that they undertake.
Paul Jeffries is the Director of Paul Jeffries Ltd; a project manager and builder with four kids, who has passion, drive and can talk!
He has experience and success in the area of large-scale community development projects.
He was the foundation Trustee and key implementer of the Malakula Medical Relief Trust, which built 20,00 ltr water tanks in villages and sourced supplies for hospitals in the Malampa province of Vanuatu.
His passion and drive is not about political or social gain or notoriety, it is about doing what’s right with what he has as fast as possible.
Paul was a major financial supporter alongside Placemakers and Court Construction, on a project to build in Nepal last year.
Paul and his family take great pleasure from being able to put back into the Community.
